生活故事
八月 9, 1947

Mr. Johnnie E. Johnson was born in Crystal Springs, MS on

April 9, 1947 to the parents of Ras(D) and Fredonia Johnson(D). Johnnie was the second of twelve children. He was the eighth child born to his father Ras, who had six children from a previous marriage.

He attended Warm Springs School in Copiah County and Warm Springs Church.

Johnnie was a hardworking free spirit who enjoyed traveling and experiencing new things. He left Mississippi during his teen-age years, where he spent time in Chicago and Michigan. He re-turned home for a few years where he lived in the City of Crystal Springs. Later, he moved to Los Angeles where he started a business hauling scrap metal. Johnnie’s final stay in California was in the City of Perris where he made many wonderful friends who remained in touch with him until he departed. As a promise to his mother, Johnnie finally returned back to Mississippi and made his home in Jackson. During the few years that he has been in Jackson, he has created another community of friends. These friends also kept close contact with Johnnie until he departed.

Johnnie was a “big hearted”, loving and caring person who en-joyed doing whatever he could to help people. Although he never married, he fathered one child (Ashley). He was also Godfather to Mylasia, uncle, friend leader, counselor and protector for many, many others who respected him in this way.

He was also “Brother” to Robert, Lena(D), Anna Bell(D), Annie Maude(D), Floyd(D), Modena, Deloris, Joseph(D), Cora(D), Curtis, Ora, Rebecca, Rosie(D), Jean, Jerry, Henry(D) and Jackie. He was a friend to all In-laws, uncle to scores of nieces and nephews, grand and great grand nieces and nephews.  He himself is the oldest nephew of his one remaining Uncle (Ulice Blunt).

If family and friends were riches, thanks to you, our beloved Johnnie left this world a “Wealthy Man.”
